1. Putharekulu

Putarekulu is produced with rice starch and a thin coating of powdered sugar or jaggery (unrefined cane sugar). The batter made from rice and starch is spread out on a piece of fabric and dried in the sun to make putarekulu. The batter is delicately rolled into thin, crisp, and translucent sheets once it is dry and brittle. These tiny sheets are then formed into cylindrical forms, filled with a delicious filling made from jaggery or powdered sugar, and served.

2. Ariselu 

Ariselu is the most popular sweet in Andhra Pradesh. One such treat that can be made at home is this one. Due to how simple it is to create, people used to cook this dessert frequently. It is prepared throughout several holidays, including Pongal, Diwali, and Dussehra. The only necessary components for this dessert are sugar, ghee, rice flour, and a few extra dry fruits.

3. Rava Laddu

A common Indian sweet dessert relished on holidays and special occasions are rava laddu, sometimes referred to as semolina laddu. Roasted semolina (rava), ghee (clarified butter), sugar, almonds, and flavorful spices are used in its preparation. These laddus have a lovely aroma that is enhanced by the sweetness of the sugar and the aroma of the spices, including cardamom and saffron.

4. Bandar Laddu

In Andhra, Bandar Laddu is also known as Thokkudu Laddu. The birthplace of this Laddu is in Andhra Pradesh, and its name is Bandar. They are typically created with dough and ghee but are challenging to make at home, therefore people usually buy them from candy stores.

5. Sunnundalu

A popular sweet from South India is called sunundalu, which is sometimes referred to as urad dal laddu or minapa sunnundalu. These laddus are not only delicious but also incredibly healthy because they are made from roasted and ground split black gramme, jaggery, and ghee.

6. Paramannam

A traditional South Indian sweet dish called paramannam, often referred to as annam payasam or rice kheer, is frequently made at festivals and special occasions. Telugu’s translation of the name “paramannam”—which means “supreme food”—underlines its significance as a beloved dessert.

Just a few simple components are needed to make paramannam: rice, milk, sugar, and ghee (clarified butter).

7. Burelu 

A traditional sweet treat from the South Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, burelu is also known as poornalu or bobbatlu. The dough for these deep-fried dumplings is produced from black gramme (urad dal) or Bengal gramme (chana dal), which has been soaked and pounded, and a sweet filling composed of jaggery (unrefined cane sugar).

The dal is pounded into a smooth paste after being soaked the night before to make burelu. To make a sweet stuffing, the powdered dal is combined with melted jaggery and a small amount of water in a skillet. Small balls of stuffing are formed.

8. Gulabilu

In Andhra Pradesh, it is also known as Roja Puvvulu and is a well-known confection. Children particularly enjoy this candy since it is both sweet and crunchy. It is typically offered with tea in most places in Andhra. Maida and rice are this dessert’s main ingredients.
